BlueStem helps rotational-grazing ranches in North Texas and southern Oklahoma watch pasture from satellite and plan moves. This marketing site (bluestem.io) takes inquiries and explains the offer. The self-serve mapping app is a separate destination (app.bluestem.io once hosted; locally npm run serve:app) where you can register paddocks as future NDVI measurement targets. Drawing paddocks does not, by itself, run a forage forecast.
Estimates are operational, not certified agronomy. You still know your land better than any computer. Do not treat BlueStem as a substitute for your own eyes, a consultant, or insurance.
The public Founding Rancher price is $299 per year, paid once through Stripe. That covers 12 months of the mapping app and rotation guidance, including winter grazing and hay/cube months. It is not billed every 3 months, and it is not a monthly subscription. Self-serve Checkout lives in the mapping app. The Payment Link on this site is a fallback for concierge buyers. Capacity is limited; Matt onboards a small founding cohort personally.
Founding ranchers may also have a season guarantee described on the offer section of the homepage (clip-and-weigh checkpoints with Matt). If that guarantee applies to you, the homepage copy at the time you paid is the deal. Refunds, when owed, run back through Stripe.
The mapping app signs you in with a magic link sent to your email. Keep that inbox under your control. You are responsible for the paddock names and polygons you submit. Do not upload geometry you have no right to use. Do not try to break, scrape, or overload the service.
Card processing is handled by Stripe. BlueStem never stores full card numbers on this site or in the app database. We may store a Stripe customer id and whether the season is unpaid, skipped (test), or paid.

The satellite, weather, and hosting pieces can fail. We will work problems as they come, but we do not promise uninterrupted uptime. We may update these terms; the date at the top is the current version. Material price changes will be stated on the site before they apply to new seasons.
BlueStem is provided as-is for operational ranch decisions. To the extent Texas law allows, Matt Dickson / BlueStem is not liable for lost cattle, lost forage, or consequential damages from using or not using the estimates. Some states do not allow certain limitations; those limits apply only as far as the law permits.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for disputes is Cooke County, Texas, unless the law requires otherwise.
