Who we are

BlueStem is run by Matt Dickson in Cooke County, Texas. Questions, access requests, and deletions: matthew@bluestem.io or (940) 277‑6531.

What we collect

Depending on how you use BlueStem, we may hold:

• Name, email, phone, town, and county from the inquiry form on this site.
• Optional notes such as rough pasture acres and herd size, if you type them in.
• Paddock GeoJSON — the GPS polygons you draw or that we draw with you — plus paddock names and server-calculated acres.
• Session cookies after you sign in to the mapping app with a magic link (email only; no password).
• Stripe customer id, Checkout session id, and billing status if you pay.

Who processes it

• Web3Forms delivers the inquiry form to Matt. That submission includes the name, email, phone, town, and county you enter.
• Stripe processes the $299-per-year payment (one payment covering 12 months, not a quarterly bill). We store the Stripe customer id and payment status; card numbers stay with Stripe.
• Google Analytics (measurement id G-32EFYDVNQK) records page views and similar usage on this marketing site.
• Cloudflare Pages hosts this site (site/ on bluestem.io).
• Copernicus Sentinel Hub supplies satellite imagery for paddocks after they exist as measurement targets. We send geospatial queries for those polygons, not your billing form.

Self-serve accounts, magic-link emails, session cookies, and paddock polygons live in the app database on the host that runs the mapping app. Operator farm files for Matt’s own place stay on that operator machine.

Cookies

The mapping app sets an HttpOnly session cookie (bluestem_session) after you click a magic link, so you stay signed in. This marketing site uses Google Analytics cookies. We do not use the marketing site to store paddock maps.

Where it is processed

Matt reads inquiries in Texas, United States. Processors above may handle data in the United States and in the regions where they operate. We do not sell lists.

How long we keep it

Inquiry mail stays as long as we need it to onboard or answer you. App accounts, paddock polygons, and billing status stay while the ranch is active, and we delete or anonymize on request unless we have to keep a payment record.

Your choices

Email matthew@bluestem.io to see, correct, or delete what we hold. You can also stop using the app and let the session cookie expire. Google Analytics opt-out is through your browser or Google’s own tools.
